Cars in German City Discovered Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Officers stated they were contacted by a man who found a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored fluid

Roughly 50 vehicles have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Vehicles, building surfaces and mailboxes were marked, occasionally with swastikas, they stated in a release.

Officers state they were contacted late on Wednesday night, when a individual noticed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued liquid.

The fluid had been applied in the pattern of a banned symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then located many other vandalized vehicles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

Swastikas are prohibited in Germany under regulations prohibiting the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police state preliminary tests show the liquid was most likely blood from a person.

"Currently there is no clue as to where it came from; officials are not yet aware of any physical harm in relation with the occurrence," they stated.

City officials said they were attempting "to unravel the mystery" and have appealed to the community for information.

A senior official commented the incident left him speechless and had to be addressed rapidly.

"This act affects the very heart of Hanau and revives the trauma of the far-right terrorist attack half a decade ago," he stated on social media, referring to the killing of nine individuals by a shooter focusing on individuals of foreign heritage in five years prior.
